How we got into BTS
Hello everyone. In the first-ever blog we uploaded, we talked about ourselves. We mentioned our love for kpop, especially BTS. So, naturally, we couldn't do a Festa week on our blog.
We wanted to start the opening ceremony with a small storytime, remenecising about we got into BTS.
Stay tuned for more content every day on both our blog and Instagram page for the entire period of Festa

The first time I saw BTS was on Lily Singh's YouTube video. The mv I watched was Blood Sweat and Tears. I didn't understand the language and I was too young to understand the deep meaning of the song.
My first thought was - what a choreography! And frankly, I had never seen such handsome and beautiful men, owning their masculinity without inhibitions, breaking societal norms.
But since I didn't understand the language, I moved on after appreciating their beauty and effort. As the year passed, I listened to some more songs, some that come to the top of my mind are run, dope, and of course, boy with love.
It wasn't till just shy of the global lockdown that I really became an army. I still remember the day. I was in my University's lab and we had a break. One of my lab partners sat in the corner looking at her phone with earphones on.
Curiosity got the best of me and I ended up asking her what she was watching so intently. Little did I know, that such a small question would lead to an hour-long discussion on what BTS is, how many members they have, how they have impacted people, and most importantly, what their songs stand for and the messages they project out in the world with their songs.

I fell into BTS like you fall asleep - slowly at first and then all at once. They helped me a lot in getting out of a dark pit in my life and I cannot be grateful enough. Also, I cannot ever forget the girl who sparked my interest in them. A big thank you to her as well.

The first time I heard about BTS was through the song Blood Sweat and Tears back in 2016. My childhood best friend made me listen to this song as she was going gaga over it. I was impressed by the music and the dance, but that was all about it.
If I say I forgot about them, I would be wrong, as they started gaining recognition and people around started stanning them. I have heard of their songs like Fake Love, Idol, DNA and Boy with Luv before becoming an army, so they were not new to me.
I am a person who stays away from things that are hyped, because it increases my expectations to another level. And when I research about those things, I get disappointed.
But BTS did not disappoint me.
I became an army last year in May and, all thanks to Anuprita AKA Ann. As soon as she became an army, she was hell-bent over to make me an army and trust me, I am serious when I said she was hell-bent over.
She would send me their videos, music, and would non stop talk about them even if I was not interested. [Armys out there who want to turn their friends into armys, get some tips from Ann].
And then, just like other armys, I got deep down into or should I say Jimined into this BTS thing and trust me, I don't remember my life before BTS happened to me and this date, I regret not being an army sooner. But better to be late than never.
BTS was the best thing that happened to me in 2020 and I will never ever stop stanning them.
